We are a warm and welcoming Catholic primary school in Berkhamsted, with high expectations for every child and a strong sense of community.
You do not need to be Catholic to join St Thomas More. Families of all faiths and none are warmly welcome.

How to apply for Reception 2027
1. Apply through your local authority
If you live in Hertfordshire, apply for a Reception place through Hertfordshire County Council. If you live elsewhere, apply through the local authority where you live.
2. Put St Thomas More as one of your school choices
You do not need to be Catholic to apply to St Thomas More.
Are you applying as a Catholic family?
If you would like your application to be considered under one of our Catholic oversubscription criteria, we may also need some additional information, such as a Supplementary Information Form, evidence of Catholic baptism and, where applicable, a Certificate of Catholic Practice.

Absolutely.
St Thomas More is a Catholic school and our faith is an important part of who we are. We also warmly welcome families from other Christian traditions, other faiths and those with no religious faith.
